Talanoa Session a success

Thirty-five agents and salespersons attended the Central/Eastern Division Talanoa Session held at Albert Park in Suva on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.


The Compliance and Monitoring Officer Vinal Singh and Registrar Peni Komainavoka presented the Regulated Commission and Disbursements Policy.


In his presentation, Mr Komainavoka reminded attendees that it was against the law to overcharge commission for residential properties valued at $500 000 or less.


The Talanoa Session's discussion covered the following:

  • The newly regulated two percent commission imposed when selling residential properties valued at $500k or less;

  • Real estate activity disbursements template, Particulars of Sales Form and

  • How agents and the general public would benefit from the National Property Sales Database (NatPro) Portal.

Attendees include salespersons, agents, and branch managers.


The one-and-a-half-hour discussion began at 2pm to 3.30pm ended with a Q&A session.
